January 20, 2012: Day 1. Put up the split and put Becca on one side and Lilly on the other around 3:15pm. No real aggression towards each other. Just curious.  They eventually settled down some and ate some food and chewing on cardboard. Lilly was adopted/purchased at the Elyria Ohio Petsmart on MLK January 16th. She looks happy and healthy. They both want to get to the other side but no go. I will not do any hand intros for a few days yet. I will keep this journal until they are happy together. I am keeping the tank near me by the computer to keep an eye on them.

January 21, 2012: Day 2.  Found Lilly stuck up in the tube at the top that is blocking passage to the other side. She is ok. I flipped them this morning and at noon. They seem to be fine with each other's scent. I watched Becca go to the bathroom in the same area that Lilly did.  Nothing crazy going on.  It is about 12:35pm, Lilly is napping while Becca is rearranging her side of the spilt. I have not seen them drink from the water bottle but I am assuming they did during the night. I even offered Lilly a dish of water but she did not want it. So I am assuming sghe drunk from the water bottle. She has problems with the bottle I notice after adopting her.  They will be flipped again this evening and once more before bed.  I could not ask for a smoother time. Lilly still can only be handled with a a cup.

January 22, 2012:Day 3. Getting better today. Lilly still can be only handled with a cup but she is getting more curious about my hand. After one flip today, Lilly slept in the spot where Becca slept. Started hand intro's. The last flip this evening (about 7pm), Becca actually groomed Lilly's face a little bit while holding them in my hands. Becca was a very good girl.  That is a good sign. I am thinking they should be ready by next weekend. Becca is really bored. She misses her wheel.  They are both chewing right now.

January 23,24,25,26 2012: Days 3-7: Better and Better everyday. Lilly is letting me hold her now.  She likes being held. She buzzes. Becca is being a real good girl. She is still grooming Lilly when I am holding them to swap. This morning Becca gave Lilly and more thorough grooming in my hands. Lilly really wants to be with Becca. She is sometimes sleeping next to the wire. they are both sleeping in each others beds.
